Behind your back, team members aren’t backstabbing you. They’re delivering proper criticism about the way you handle meetings. You took up two hours of their working time and you did not come up with a proper solution haven’t you? Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Guarantee a successful meeting for your Internet marketing strategies by implementing these five things.
Have a Clear Case-in-Point
A leader with no clear goal or has multiple goals without plans in mind is an ineffective leader. You won’t get brownie points from your underlings at this rate. Your meetings would only mean dragging your team out to get scolded or to just say you guys had a meeting.
Always have a clear case-in-point so you could focus your troubleshooting efforts immediately.
After Everyone Eats
Don’t call a meeting before lunch even when it’s crunch time past one. When your guys haven’t eaten, they cannot digest your ideas. Maybe you could treat them to food during the meeting. Or better yet, just have lunch and talk about the trouble later. Your superiors may definitely understand.
Be Realistic
If your troopers couldn’t create that conversion rate optimization because it’s nothing really special, don’t force the result you want on them. This would blossom into a forced effort that is neither efficient nor cost and time-effective. Set realistic expectations, namely shooting down the sub-areas of your main goal.
Never Shoot Down Anyone’s Idea
You don’t want to go all negative with your team. This would discourage them from giving better or creative suggestions in the future. Be open, listen and argue sensibly and objectively why you do not agree with their ideas. If you will argue, have a better suggestion.
Everyone Agrees
Great teamwork is when everyone agrees or believes in a single solution. If everyone agrees about the formulated solution, then there’s great teamwork. An unanimous decision is a sign everyone contributed and compromised their own ideas.
